Chaplain Patterson was absolutely amazing! He made our ceremony so special and perfect. I could have not asked for a better experience. Chaplain Patterson and his wife, Irene, are the sweetest and most flexible couple! After a last minute change in our wedding location, terrible traffic, and a storm, Chaplain Patterson and his wife were there with a smile and not a single complaint! She took some amazing pictures and was so sweet and creative in our poses. Chaplain Patterson had a talk with my now husband and myself before the ceremony. He said some things to us that we really appreciated. He gave us wonderful advice and a wonderful ceremony. On April 28, my family and I were blessed to have Chaplain Patterson to do our wedding ceremony. We have two beautiful daughters that he was kind enough to write into our wedding vows. Chaplain Patterson and his wife, Irene, were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding. Less than 15 minutes after our initial meeting with them, my husband (at the time fiance) and I decided that we wanted Chaplain Patterson to officiate our ceremony. While we were unable to do the pre-marital counseling due to our schedule, we exchanged several emails and had another face to face meeting before our wedding. We discussed having a Christian ceremony that wasn't overly religious; we wanted it to be intimate and laid back--not pretentious or overly formal. Based on this criteria, he delivered a complete ceremony outline that fit the bill exactly. When you're planning a wedding, it's such a relief to have this one task taken off your plate. We received many compliments from our guests about how the ceremony was touching, intimate and heartfelt. I felt Chaplain Patterson's delivery was both professional and at times humorous, and he was eloquent in speech. I cannot speak highly enough of Irene and Chaplain Patterson. They are genuinely sweet and kind-hearted people. I highly recommend them to any couple looking for an officiant for their wedding

We feel very honored to have had Dr Patterson and his wife Irene a part of our wedding. We used him for both our wedding officiant and our premarital counseling. Fred and Irene were so nice and treated us like family from day one. When the wedding day came, we felt like we had a true friendship with Fred and Irene that will last a lifetime. My husband is American-German and I am from Venezuela, so we needed to find an officiant willing to say some of the ceremony in Spanish, so my family could be integrated somehow, but it was incredibly difficult to find somebody at the Knoxville area.

I saw a review of Dr. Patterson, where he performed a ceremony in Spanish and we decided to get in touch with him. He explained to us that he wasn't fluent in Spanish but he could do some reading in the language to help us out. We decided to go with him and the result was outstanding. Only part some prayers were in Spanish (my husband is not fluent in Spanish either so we needed to have the main things in English) and my family was super excited!

Also, I was living in Caracas and my husband in Germany previous to the wedding, so planning everything required a lot of flexibility that he also offered to us. We shaped our ceremony the way we dreamed of it and most of our guests told us later that it was beautiful and touching. Many of them cry of happiness with us!

He printed Spanish and English copies of the program that were way beyond my husband and I expected.

His wife is very nice and kind and helps him out too with pictures and calming our nerves.

If you're looking for an officiant in Knoxville or East TN area, he is the one.

Chaplain Patterson was more than williing to help us with everything we needed from him. We did pre-marital counseling with him before he performed our ceremony. He and his wife did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and prepared for our wedding day. They went above and beyond our expectations for an officiant and we felt they truly cared about our well-being as a married couple well beyond our wedding day. He was able to connect with us and make our ceremony truly special and individual to us. We couldn't have asked for better.

Back in May my husband and I married during an incredibly stressful time in our lives. Because we intended to move out of the country a few weeks after the wedding, I began my wedding plans in August. Throughout the months prior to the wedding, Chaplain Patterson kept in touch without me having to call and worry. I felt assured that I had selected the best officiant that I could and surely enough, the wedding was performed beautifully.

Dr. Patterson previewed the material for the ceremony and even met with me at Starbucks a couple times to discuss our desires for the wedding. Due to his efforts, my stress was reduced tremendously.

Chaplain Patterson is a very nice man and I now consider him and his wife Ireen as new dear friends. I stumbled across his name on Weddingwire and so glad I did. Anyone who choses Chaplain Patterson for their ceremony will not find disappointment. Good luck in your planning.
